Education is highly valued in Finland, and the high standard of education forms one of the corner-stones of the Finnish national strategy. For foreign students studying and training in Finland offers a safe, though quite an exotic way to acquire academic and professional experience and a qualified degree.

TUT offers you a first-rate academic education free of charge, and therefore we do not have a scholarship system for students. Please contact the educational authorities in your home country to inquire into the possible scholarship programmes for studies abroad.

All university students in Finland are required to be members of the Student Union of their university and pay the annual membership fee of approximately 80 euros. The Student Union membership entitles students to a wide variety of benefits and discounts (for example a 50 % discount on train tickets).
