Requirements Admission
Application period
The application period for admission is open each year from 1 December to 15 March for the following academic year. Please note that your application should reach TUT by 15 March at 16.15 at the very latest therefore you should send your application well before the deadline.
Applications will be processed only during the application period, so please do not send us any documents after the application period.
Application process
Please note that there are no application fees at TUT.
The applicant shall submit a separate application for each programme he/she intends to apply to. Please indicate in the application your order of preference of the programmes if you apply to more than one programme at TUT.
Please note that incomplete or delayed applications and applications containing documents that are not properly authenticated will not be accepted. All the application documents should be sent together in one envelope. Documents sent by email or fax will not be accepted, and applications submitted through a third party like educational agencies or consultants will not be processed.
As we do not charge any application fees, the applications will not be returned. Therefore, do not submit any original documents, except a language test score report.
You will receive a confirmation email as soon as your application has reached the University. Unfortunately, we cannot comment on the status of any particular application until the final admission decisions have been made.

Application documents
The application guide and forms for the following academic year are open and can be downloaded on these web pages and the programmes' web pages during the application period between 1 December and 15 March. Please read the application guide carefully before preparing and submitting your application. Please note that your application needs to reach us by 15 March.
All documents should be sent together and submitted as one complete package except the language test results from the test centre . Please do not send several envelopes. Do not send original certificates, diplomas, etc. which cannot be replaced, because application documents will not be returned.
The documents and their English translations must be authenticated by a public notary or the Finnish Embassy/Consulate in your home country or the institution that has issued the original document together with an institutional stamp on the documents.

- copy of the original Bachelor of Science degree certificate
- English translation of B.Sc. degree certificate
- copy of the original transcript of records courses of the B.Sc. degree programme
- English translation of the transcript of records
- certificate of English language proficiency IELTS, TOEFL or CPE/CAE
- statement of purpose
- Curriculum Vitae
- recommendation letters minimum of two recommendation letters from academic and/or professional referees with their contact information
- financial statement and proof of financial support
- Copy of the passport
